Chocolate chip cookies difficulty * #16
Makes 16
Preparing time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 125 g unsalted butter
- 175 g soft light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 200 g plain flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 250 g plain dark chocolate chip
- Beat together the butter and sugar in a large bowl until pale and fluffy
- Mix in the vanilla, then gradually beat in the egg, beating well after each addition
- Stir in the milk
- Sift in the flour and baking powder, then fold it
- Stir in the chocolate chips
- Drop level tablespoonfuls of the mixture, about 3.5 cm apart, on to a large baking sheet lined with baking parchment, then lightly press with a floured fork
- Bake in a preheated oven, 180 C (350 F), Gas Mark 4, for 15 minutes or until lightly golden
- Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
