Almond biscuits difficulty * #33
Preparing time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- 150 g ground almonds
- 1 tablespoon plain flour
- 175 g caster sugar ( + extra for coating)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Mix together the ground almonds, flour, sugar and baking powder in a large bowl
- Whisk the egg white in a separate clean bowl until it holds its shape
- Fold into the almonds mixture
- Add the vanilla extract and mix to a dough
- Dust a work surface with caster sugar
- Shape 1 tablespoon of the dough into a sausage about 6 cm long, then roll in the sugar
- Place on a baking sheet lined with baking parchment
- Repeat with the remaining dough, spacing them well apart on the baking sheet
- Bake in a preheated oven, 200 C (400 F),Gas Mark 6, for 10 minutes until lightly golden
- Transfer to a wire rack to cool
- Easy and delicious, good combination :-)
